Making a GAP Insurance claim
Step 1
We are sorry to hear that your vehicle has been written off.
Please complete the claim form below and return it together with the following documents (images or copies are acceptable):
1.Your Vehicle's Dealer Purchase Invoice;
2.Your Motor Insurance Policy in full;
3.Your Motor Insurer’s offer letter / email;
4.Your Finance Agreement (if you have outstanding finance on the vehicle);
5.Your Finance Company Settlement Letter (if you have outstanding finance on the vehicle).
Once we have received these documents we will process your claim as quickly as possible. We may contact you, requiring further information / documents to progress the claim.
Step 2
Before accepting any settlement offer from your motor insurer (written or verbal), please advise us by phone or email of
1. the offer from your motor insurer;
2. the vehicle mileage used by your motor insurer to calculate their offer.
This information is crucial to ensure you have a fair settlement offer.
Step 3
Once your motor insurance claim is agreed, we will also require you to email a copy of the final payment confirmation letter, from your motor insurer, before the AMS GAP settlement can be paid. This will be used by AMS to calculate your final settlement figure.
Note - If you have finance on your vehicle, it is your responsibility to continue to make any payment to your finance company until this claim is settled.
